I love that Jay Gruden is taking charge:

Cousins has played the last two seasons on the franchise tag and conceivably could be tagged again this spring despite what would be an exorbitant price, but Gruden appears ready to get off the roller coaster. "I think something has to be done," Gruden said. "I think you want to have a quarterback in here that’s going to be here. And hopefully that is Kirk, and if not, we have to move on and do what we have to do as an organization." Gruden was not at all effusive with his praise for Cousins following the season, but these comments suggest he would support the kind of big-money deal it will take to sign the quarterback long term.
