Home of the 5X Super Bowl Champions

It looks like we will be introduced to the Jimmy G starting era this coming weekend in Chicago. He had an impressive 3 plays, yes only 3 plays, but they were positive which was a whole lot more than what you could say for the rest of the offense the entire day.

Lets face the facts. What’s wrong with the 49ers is not necessarily a QB problem. This team has an offensive identity crisis in the sense that they have no identity. No run game and no consistent passing game. There’s only so much a QB can do without O Line protection and a run game. The 49ers are limited in playmakers as well. Right now, this team is going through a process of figuring out who will be returning in 2018 with a chance to make the team. Everyone on this team is interviewing for a job right now. There have been a ton of injuries and the lack of consistency within the roster makes it very difficult to have consistency on the field.

That being said, the offensive coaches really need to re-evaluate their offensive scheme. They can’t run the Football sideline to sideline, too much defensive penetration. They need to lean more on quick hitting traps and downhill power runs. With limited protection in the passing game, the ball needs to come out faster, quick throws and sprint outs changing up the pocket location. The deep drops and play action have not proven to be successful due to the lack of time allowing the concept to develop.

A simplified game plan with Jimmy G in the huddle may prove to be more affective. It comes down to the old saying, KISS- Keep It Simple Stupid!

Hoping for the best in a winnable game with the new signal caller returning to his hometown roots against the Bears.
