I really enjoyed your take especially since you are so close to the topic. I for one don’t see the league collapsing. As you had stated, the NFL is the way out of a tough situation for many kids. If they don’t use their gift there is a chance they will never improve their lot in life which is sad. We need to find other ways to help these children. But the league is their ticket.

i have two boys 5 and 2 months old. I personally hope they don’t play but at the same time I will not stand in their way. I will sitdown with them and weigh the positives and negatives when the time comes and let them make the final decision. It is unfortunate because football creates a special bond that other sports don’t seem to. I just know with my boys, I want to have them live a long healthy life. It is hypocritical to an extent because I will sit down and watch a game with them. There is no easy answer.
