I love taking a look back in time from time to time. No one would have thought that the rag tagged 2001 Patriots would eventually become the best football on the planet that year. I remember they had signed 20 URFA (including an underutilized Mike Vrabel in Pittsburgh, Antwain Smith from the Buffalo Bills and David Patter from the NYG). The Patriots got on a roll and they just couldn’t be stopped. I remember going to a game late in the season against the Rams with my Dad. The Patriots hung tough but talent eventually won out. I remember leaving Foxboro Stadium thinking they hung tough and maybe just maybe they could make a little noise in the playoffs. Well eventually they did.
Enjoy this look back. It’s fun to remember.
