Excellent question, Henry!

I believe Bill will coach a little bit beyond Tom’s tenure in New England. Football is in Bill’s blood. He grew up as a son of a coach and that has been his passion since he was breaking down film as a child at the Naval Academy.

Unlike players, Bill doesn’t have to worry about a physical slip. He is as sharp as ever. Both of his son’s are on the Patriots staff so it would seem like he may pass the torch to them.

Bill loves teaching the game. I can’t see him walk away while he still has passion for what he is doing. He is 65 and in the NFL Network’s A Football Life he said he didn’t want to coach into his 70’s like Marv Levy. If I had to guess, he will coach for a minimum 2 more seasons and as many as 5 more.

As a Patriots fan, I am trying to enjoy every moment we have left with Bill and Tom.

Again, awesome question. There is no right or wrong answer because we know so little about what Bill is truly thinking or when his contract expires.
