I can relate to Marcedes Lewis a little bit. No, I didn’t play but I was a fan of a team that was the laughing stock of the NFL similar to what the Jags have been. It’s good to see that Lewis stuck it out and now has a shot at heading to Minnesota for the team’s 1st Super Bowl. If you told me in 2001 that the Patriots would spend the next 16 years being the measuring stick for all other NFL franchises, I would have laughed in your face. If the Patriots do not stamp a ticket to their 10th Super Bowl tomorrow I’ll be disappointed but happy that a guy like Marcedes Lewis who stuck it out through the tough times will make his first trip.
