Message: Chaz Green Got Smoked - But Where Was The Help Or Adjustment By Cowboys Coaching?

Adrian Clayborn admitted he has just one move ... but it worked all night against Chaz Green.  As a professional, CG should be humiliated by his performance.

But where was the Dallas Coaching staff?  This wasn't JJ Watt or (fill in the blank), this was a journeyman with one move. Surely, after the 3rd sack (a CRITICAL data point because it would be one more than his entire total for this season), the Cowboys and their statistical alarms had to be flashing red. Jonah Hill from Moneyball would have been running on the field screaming.

I'll wait for our NFL Legends to chime in but - as a layman - I can think of a few easy moves to mitigate, if not eliminate, the problem:

1.  Take Chaz out after 3.  Come on, do you really need to wait for the 5th sack?

2.  Give Chaz some help from the backfield. If nothing else, you don't need Dack getting blind sided all day do you?

3.  Witten!! Get the ball out sooner to JW. Why wait until the 4th Quarter.

4.  Beasley!! (SEE #3)

5.  Use Clayborn against himself. He had 1 move ... ONE ... A speed rush off the edge.  Use that against him by letting him over pursue ... he's not JJ Watt, you can draw up a counter.

Maybe I'm over simplifying ... but I do know that any of these wouldn't have made the problem any worse.

George
