The hit was a vicious nasty hit that happens a lot in football. I don't think it's a dirty hit. I think it's a bang bang play. The quarterback was a little late and the defender was coming over to make a play. It looks bad, especially in slow motion, however, out on the field things happen so fast if the quarterbacks want to be protected they need to slide earlier and not wait until the last minute.
